Alright, when i plug in a dirto identifier into the mcu, i have figured out that i have to have the autopilot on the 737 turned on and the HDG selector engaged. i did not find that anywhere in you docs. now the mcu with the LNAV engaged will adjust the HDG indicator accordingly to turn to the destinatinon. now thats all it does. it will overcompensate to intercept the course like the garmin 500 will.
i only fly the 737 mostly for the jets and it doesnt seem user-freindly. the TCAS works great though. tested it out and everything. still having trouble with the flight plans in the flight computer because i cannot get the autopilot to work correctly.
now, the CROSS feature seems really cool. When i go into the flight computer and click on "vnav" and go to page 1 out of the 2, it calculates the descent or ascent rate needed to get to the required altitude upon reaching the next waypoint. but thats all it does is calculate it. what do i have to do to make it control the fpm? like i set the 737 autopilot altitude to 6000 and then im about 100 miles away from the sext checkpoint. i set the cross altitude to 1000 at that point and then i go into the clight computer and its calculating the descent rate required but nothing is happening to the descent rate. acutually, the number in the computer is gradually going up.
