I am to say the least very confused. When loading a flight plan into a aircraft should the aircraft follow that plan with the autopilot on?
Because that's not happening for me and i'm baffled and starting to wonder what a planner is for. .

The aircraft's route (your flight plan) is sometimes used by the autopilot.
The autopilot has several "modes" for the pilot to select from.
One of the modes will follow the route.
Other modes will not.
Your aircraft manual should explain the autopilot modes for your aircraft.

You'd normally have to have either the GPS mode on, or the LNAV mode if that aircraft has LNAV.

This differs for each aircraft, so you may need to consult the manual if the aircraft has one.

Regards.
Ernie.

And if the answer is yes.How do I add it please?

Tim,

It seems, that you have not read the manuals yet in detail. This is a support forum where people are very helpful in solving special problems not found in manuals. But the expectation is, that users have read the tutorial manuals. You find a lot of them on the web site. Please be so kind to go through these examples and you will understand much more than today. Your questions are so basic, that you really should have a look into these documents. This is not to be unpolite in any way but a hint for you. You will see: by folllowing the examples you will find out, how the basics work and what's the scope of this wonderful product.

Ya no. I want to juust add to your comment above. You tell me "read" manuals. I see another topic about a fella can't find out where his flight plans are going. Are my questions not as important? I make up plans as well and don't know where their going. Their not there when I'm loading a flight and go to get the plan and it's not there. Is this other individual more important than me? Is this forum not for help? Is it to much for you to type in a 5 minute msge to me Rather than me going thru pages & pages of reading for a simple thing? I agree I shud read & I will. I just believe there's favouritism going on here. :!:

So are you saying that from item "FS Navigator" down to "IFly_747" (if I destined them to all go to FSX) I could not load a plan for a aircraft that is not in that list?

Now.............I'm getting a little ahead of myself but if your answer is "yes" can I make changes to that item list & where wld I do that?

For example.

If FSNivigator was not in the "list" column then FSBuild could not send any flight plan to it.
