Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Hi

I'm having some problems with "AS6 retrieving weather for ESSA" in the build process. It's only a problem with ESSA. Fsbuild shuts down with a error on the Fsbuild.exe

I have tried updating the navigation database and rebuilding it, tried to install fsbuild over with updates, tried restarting AS6 and reboot of pc, but nothing seems to help. Now I can't remember if i ever made a flightplan from ESSA, but I guess I could have.

Any idea why this is particular problem with ESSA?

Hi,
I use AS6 also.
I started AS6.
"Fetch" Wx from ESSA (AS6 menu) = OK

I use FSBuild Ver 2.3.7.5.1
Did plan KJFK-ESSA (autogen)
Route built ok with Wx.
No crash

How do you know Wx was the problem?
How dod FSBuild crash?
Was there an error screen/message?
Maybe you could do a screenshot?

Well I guess there must have been a problem with the AS6.5 weather download from ESSA yesterday, because today there has not been any problems yet.

I have never had that problem before, so maybe next time I get that error message "FSbuild.exe has found a problem and needs to shutdown", I'll check the AS6.5 "current_wx_snapshot.txt" to see if it downloaded weather for ESSA.

You mean the copy that had the problem?
If not, you could always edit a fresh copy to delete that station and see if you get the same problem when FSBuild does then next plan.

I looked at it today, and there's definitely some information in the snapshot file that confused it.

I looked in earlier versions of my snapshot file I couldn't find that 'Issued by' reference before. But considering the original post in this thread (From Nov) it must have popped up in the snapshot file from time to time, and if you caught it with the right airport on the right day, then CTD.

When 'math' lost his original snapshot file, we lost the opportunity to fix it back in November cause we couldn't reproduce it. But it came back and was reported again yesterday, and today and we were able to finally reproduce it.

It found that ESSA reference in the file, and it processed the ESDF line
(being ESDF preceeds ESSA), and the data being different than it expected eventually resulted in the CTD.

I have made a hotfix for it (2.3.7.5.2).

Try it, and lemme know if it works out okay.

Note: This hotfix will not work unless you have the full 2.3 version already installed.
