Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Hi,

Am wondering if there's a way for FSB to pick up the wind data from AS Evolution.

I used to have ASv6.5 installed and had no problems...wind data, fuel calcs etc all worked fine with FSB and FS9.

However, since uninstalling ASv6.5 and installing AS Evolution the wind data in FSB is always "0". I know that AS6.5 used to sit in the FS9 Modules Folder and I think FSB got the wx data from a "wx snapshot" file created in the FS9 Modules/Active Sky Folder. Having done some checks of my own I see that this folder no longer contains the "wx snapshot" file...just some old installation setup files left over from the uninstall. Instead, I have a new program folder (HiFi) which sits outside FS9 and I cannot see anything in that folder which remotely resembles it.

I've tried pointing FSB to AS Evolution but it only gives me the Documentation/Image etc folders. Simply put, I cannot see a wx snapshot file or appropriate folder to which to point FSB.

Does FSB work with AS Evolution and if so, what do I have to do? I've had a quick look on the HiFi Fora but cannot see anything about this.

Am running FS9, Windows XP Pro (SP3) and do all my flying online (Vatsim) with AS Evolution accurately picking up the Vatsim wx.

Look in the following folder: User/your name/appdata/roaming/HiFi/ASE. that's where you point FSBuild for the ASE weather snapshot. If you browse to that folder you will see a file for the current_wx-snapshot. It wil have the date of the last time you ran ASE. If you want FSBuild to have the current weather, you need to run ASE first and download the current weather.
