Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

I bought FSBuild 2.3 less than a week ago, and experienced problems getting winds aloft from Active Sky X. I spent the weekend researching this forum for hours, but did not find anything that specifically related to my situation. If this has been discussed previously, I could not find it. I did all the "fixes" that appear in many posts:

1. Using AS6 as the default "weather" setup for ASX and newer versions.
2. Checking several items under "Settings", such as "Apply Winds Aloft Data", and others.
3. Making sure AS6 is selected under "Weather" (settings menu)
4. Doing some manual tweaks to the FSBuild config, i.e. renaming from ACTIVESKY to AS6.

I was about to post yesterday when I finally fixed it, and wanted to share my case in case anyone else experiences this. I'm using Windows XP 32 Bit SP3, FSX SP2 and many addons, on a FSX tuned PC. My problem was that in the FSBuild2.cfg file, I had the following:

"AS6=C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\DAVID BOLANOS\APPLICATION DATA\HIFI\XENGINE\ASX\WEATHE"

This is where the updated weather file from ASX resides in my computer, but for some reason, FSBuild deleted the "R" from "WEATHER". The folder is correctly written as "Weather". I would go through the different steps, even uninstalling and reinstalling FSBuild, but it would delete the "R", always. I kept adding the "R", saving the file, then resetting everything, but it would always change to "WEATHE".

Finally, after much trial and error, what I did was go through the setup, leave everything in FSBuild as it's supposed to be in order to read the weather, and the last step was to add the "R" to the config file and save. That did it.

Hope this helps anyone in case you are or have experienced this.

If every one have Win 7 64 bit, open fsbuild2.cfg and modify this string:

AS6=C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\HiFi\XEngine\ASX\Weather

This will fix the problem
