Ron,
How about doing what I did as an example earlier as a test.

Created a folder called TEST in C:\
So the path = C:\TEST

Put this in the config file:
sb3_fp=c:\test

saved it

Built a plan.
FSbuild should send the SB plan to the TEST folder.
Look in the TEST folder.
Is it there?
Lets get this part working first.
Maybe you Vist OS has a permissions problem ... we will find out.

Vaughn,

I just created a folder on my desktop called "FSBUILD TEST". I then went to the fsbuild2.cfg file and changed the line to read SB3_FP=C\USERS\RON\DESKTOP\FSBUILD TEST....then closed/saved the file.

I went to FSB and created a new flight plan from KTPA to KBOS. I got the pop-up indicating that the build was successful and was sent to FSX, PMDG, etc. What's weird is that it indicated this for the SB file:

Created Squawkbox file C:\program files\FSbuildKTPA-KBOS.SBP

Notice how there's no slash between FSBuild and KTPA.....that's not a typo....that's how it's showing. I tried closing the program, reopening it and trying again with another route and the result is the same (different cities, but no slash between "FSBuild" and the origin city.

I went to the FSBuild folder on the desktop and it was empty. I tried changing the .cfg file to read C:\FSBuild test, but the results were the same.

Weird!!

Vaughn,

I see you are based out of Detroit. By this time, watching the Lions play might be less torturous.

I created a folder "TEST" in my C drive. The fsbuild2.cfg file shows SB3_FP=C/TEST. Started FSB, created a new flight plan. FSB is not sending anything to that new file. It's sending it to C:\program files\fsbuildKTPA-KBOS.SBP....It's also sending the .pln file to FSX, but that's not an issue at this time.

I checked that C/TEST folder, and it's empty.

Here's the latest from the fsbuild2.cfg file:

[FSBUILD]
AUTOREFRESH_DELAY=1
MAGYEAR=2002
SBPC_SERVER=www.vatsim.net
ROUTELINE=1
NATRAKURL=www.natroutes.glideslope.de/html/nats.php3
WEATHERPROG=AS6

[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]
FS_HOME=C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT GAMES\MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X
SB3_FP=C:\TEST
AS6=C:\USERS\RON\APPDATA\ROAMING\HIFI\ASA\WEATHER

[FLY!]

[PS1]

[X-PLANE]

[STARTUP]
STEP_CLIMB
TOC_TOD
CLEARMAP_BEFORE_BUILD
DISPRTEWPTSONMAP
INCL_NL_PLTINP_HDRS
WINDS_ALOFT
LDS767
PMDG737NG
SQUAWKBOX
FSX_GPS
AUTOREFRESH_ON

Verify:
you said: The fsbuild2.cfg file shows SB3_FP=C/TEST

It should be C:\TEST

I checked that C/TEST folder, and it's empty.
** should be C:\TEST

it's a typo......you'll see it's correct in the .cfg file I copied and pasted.

Start FSBuild
go to options then export_Directories
scroll down to where Squawkbox listing is
do a screenshot and post it here.

Do a flight plan .. build it.
When the results scree comes up do a screenshot and post it here.

You are selecting an export to Squawkbox in FSBuild

It should be Squawkbox3
****
In cfg file:
[STARTUP]
STEP_CLIMB
TOC_TOD
CLEARMAP_BEFORE_BUILD
DISPRTEWPTSONMAP
INCL_NL_PLTINP_HDRS
WINDS_ALOFT
LDS767
PMDG737NG
SQUAWKBOX >>>> change this to SQUAWKBOX3 & save the file
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> then test again

A-HA!!!!......I think I found the answer....or at least part of the problem.

On the export_directories page, on the line Squawkbox3, under the column "folders", it said C:\TEST

On the settings page, Squawkbox was checked, but Squawkbox3 wasnt.

I checked that box, pressed "save config options", closed the program, reloaded it, created a flight plan, and among the items in the pop-up box is:

Created C:\TEST\KDFW-KABQ.sfp

In the C:\TEST folder.....the KDFW-KABQ file is on there. I can't open it because of the .sfp tag, but at least it's there!!

ok....now what?

Yes,
That is what I mentioned in my last post and that is why I wanted the screenshots to verify what was going on!

When you start FSbuild you can go to the top menu and select the exports you want for this build .. I figured you were selecting the exports!

Next .. get squawkbox in MSFS opened up and select "load" flight plan and then "browse" your way to C:\TEST

your plan should be there .. open it

Let me know
