Hiya, I'm new here! Just bought and downloaded the ISG software and installed. Then downloaded the retrofit file for the FSX Learjet. Just 2 questions for now. Firstly, I opened each panel and was able to resize them to fit them where I wanted to - I have a four screen setup -all with the exception of the panel for the GNSXLS unit. I was unable to resize this as there were no click spots to enable me to do so. As it stands, its far too big when opened to use comfortably, so please can you help? Secondly, I noticed in the docs folder, reference to several upgrades. As I've only just bought the program, have I got the latest version, or do I need to upgrade, and if so, where do I get the files from?

Cheers,

Rory

Please could I have a reply? I've been good enough to purchase your program and I'd imagine the fix to be easy for someone who knows the answer.

Regards

Ernie is a busy chap, but he'll always get around to providing support. Sometimes just takes a day or two! But since I (think) know the answers I can perhaps help you out:

Panel windows initial opening size can be changed by looking at the following in the panel.cfg under that particular [window##] section:
window_size= xx, yy -- xx and yy are fractions of the whole FS window resolution - ie on my 2-screen setup 1,1 would give 3840 x 1200 0.5,1 would give 1920x1200 etc etc
window_pos= xx, yy -- again xx and yy are fractions of the FS window. This time the position of the top left corner of the sub-panel is defined with respect to the top left of the main FS window.

As with all things in FS (espacially whan you have a non-standard setup like four screens) you will need to play with the numbers and figure out what they do / what works best for you!

For the version number, in the FMS initial page there is a version number which should tell you whether you have the latest version. At least this is the case in the Smiths FMS which I use on my ISG modified panel. It's probably in the documentation somewhere too but as I'm at work I cannot check just now. Anyhow, if you just purchased it (I assume from Simmarket) then you will have the latest version and also can always log into your account there and download the latest...

Many thanks for your helpful reply. I did start last night changing the settings in the cfg file but also discovered a sort of workaround too - by switching to windowed mode and then undocking the GNSXLS panel and then resizing it, then switching back to full screen mode. Not ideal, but it worked. Its just strange how the other pop up panels can be resized with no problem and not the GNSXLS unit. I only bought the program to use with the Lear, as I usually fly the wilco A320 or Majestic Dash8. It does seem like a really good program and makes a default flight much more realistic.

In order to resize an FS window, it may be required for the 'size_mm' and the width and height settings for the gauge are the same.

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window11]
...
size_mm=449,387

gauge00=ISG1!GNSXLS, 3,5,449,387

Sometimes (not always) when they are not the same size the edgess do not allow the mouse to drag them.

I think I might be based on the video card, not sure. But something to check.

Regards.
Ernie.
