Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Just downloaded program today.

I went through the video on the 747 placing guages and got no where. Nice video, but it did not work for me.

Where is ISG supposed to be installed? The installer does a nice job, but my FSX is not in the standard default location.

Mine is located in the C:Microsoft Flightsim X. I pointed the installer there and I see ISG is in the root directory of FSX.

Is that proper?

How about a FAQs and Beginners START HERE! For us happless newbs.

No isg1.gau in my c:\flight simulator X\gauge folder. How can I get this in there?

That would make sense then that it doesn't work for the moment. I have been fairly (and I use the term fairly liberally) decent at putting gauges where they need to go, sizing changing etc.

My hope here was to get a decent FMS that works in multiple aircraft, and
all the great looking guages.

Sure would be wonderful if there was a FAQ and a Troubleshooting page. Unless I am missing it. (Wishlist) I was hoping to work on this when I got off work. Rats.

Well I found out why found out why I did not have the file.
I fixed it as well.

I was able to load the 747 panel.cfg posted on the retrofits. I am now able to see the
panel and guages.

I am holding my breath here though because I had an FSX crash not long after I had things up and running. No I didnt taxi into a tug. I mean the program. Not sure if it was due to FSUIPC4, ( I don't have my X52 mapped to the default 747 as I never fly it, OR was it due to ISG.

As I posted above, I found out what the problem was but wanted to make sure before I posted.

So. The installer, installed MOST of the files where it was supposed to go on my system. C:\Flight Simulator X\ISG et al...

However the installer decided to make a new location for FSX in

C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft FS\

Within that location ISG1 installer put two valuable folders (Gauges and Modules).

Within the Gauges folder the ISG1 installer added two files.
ISG1.gau
isg1.gau_TACAS.gua

Within the Modules folder the ISG1 installer added
TRAFFICINFO.dll


THE FIX?

Cut and paste TRAFFICINFO.DLL into your offset FSX location.

For example here is mine.

C:\Flight Simulator X\Modules folder (root of modules)

Cut and paste ISG1.gau AND ISG1_TACAS.gau into your

C:\Flight Simulator X\Gauges folder (root of gauges)

This is where the ISG1 installer puts these three files as of 3 August 2011, with an offset location install.
