Hi,

Is there any chance of an updated set of FIR boundaries for the Smiths FMS etc? I think the current set is quite old and several areas are no longer right - at least in northern Europe... eg. in Finland EFES and EFPS are now both just EFIN, in Sweden ESAA is split to ESAA and ESMS, the Norwegian airspace has too many areas and the German airspace now has a few issues too... (and that's just what I found so far)

The data, in atc_bdry.txt appears to be just a list of lat/lon coordinates, but I've no idea where you'd get the data... If I could have found it myself on the net I would have hacked myself a fixed version already ;)

Thanks for the reply and for looking into it. That's a shame the DAFIF data is no longer available. I would have thought it would be easily accessible data but then spending an hour or so looking on the net proved me wrong!! Hope Navigraph have access somewhere...

Hi,

A couple of other points about this:

- I have just noticed that on the new update there are some area labels missing (EGPX and EGTT are the two that I have noticed) from the map view - MD11/B712 ND gauge. I'm pretty sure they used to be there and thought it might be due to my tinkering with the text files, but I put back the original backup text file and the problem is still there. See attached!

- For more current boundaries, have a look at this link: http://www.ecacnav.com/downloads/RVSM%2 ... een%29.pdf. Initially it might seem like a big task to re-do all the areas but actually there are only a few name changes and merges needed. Almost all the actual boundaries are unchanged! This is list as far as I have worked out for Europe.
