Problem: During take-off phase will start the autopilot and initiate the LNAV, FSX may crash. If reloading a flight that is airborne FSX will CTD everytime. If I load a flight that has not taken off, FSX will conitinue to load. If CTD is in progress I will get the centered white box that usually lets you know that FSX is loading saved flight but there is nothing in the box it remanins blank, the cursor will stay in busy mode for about minute, then CTD.

Knowns:
-Not FSX, new install with SP1 and 2
-Not Hardware, new AMD 1095, 8 gig ram, WIN7 with updates, 560 EVGA card, Raptor 300 gig drive just for FSX.
-Will not occur if aircraft has not had ISG FMS installed
-Only occurs if flight saved while airborne
-ISG FMS rock solid with all other functions
-Latest updated version of FSUIPC
-Squawkbox Latest version
-This is a dedicated FSX system - no other programs loaded but what supports FSX and flying VATSIM.

Variables:
Running Delta Virtual Airline ACARS
Norton 360
Nhancer with recommended tweaks
FSX Config based on recomended tweeks

If any ideas it would be appreciated. Very seriously considering purchasing and loading FS 2004 and living with that until something better comes along.

No idea.

It hasn't been reported by anyone else in the entire time the product has been available.

I'd have to say its something in the way flights are saved on your system that maybe in conflict.

Something using FSUIPC perhaps, maybe the ACARS system ??.

I don't know these are wild guesses, but based on the lack of other similar reports, and I load
saved flights all the time and have never had this issue with any of my ISG panel configs (and I have a lot of them).

I'd have to ISG gauges is not the source of the issue, but the catalyst.

Regards.
Ernie.

I would have to agree just looking for a starting point to look at. I really like ISG and the more I use it the less I am inclined to do with out it.

If I find the answer I will let everyine know my findings.

Ernie,

Follow up, after testing, and trying varied setups, and then repeatedly it was not ISG causing the issue. Apparently the panel setup with one or more guages is causing FSX to CTD if you were to save the aircraft in flight and then reload or ACARS were to try and recover the flight.

A question that you may or someone else may be able to answer is - Is there a way or a program that can look at an aircraft setup and tell you if a aircraft is truly FSX, FS2004, later compatible?

Thanks for your quick response!
