I have noticed that whenever I change the current waypoint in the FMS, the LNAV function stops providing any wind correction and simply points the nose of the aircraft at the next waypoint. Not such a big deal on a short segment, but when the controller provides a shortcut direct to a waypoint 200nm away, the resulting arc, especially with a strong crosswind, can be incredibly pronounced. Is there anything I can do to get the FMS to continue to provide wind correction in these instances?

I'll look into it for 1.7.

Buf if what you describe is an bug/issue, there's nothing that can be done about it, till I look into it for the 1.7 update.

I have been paying more attention lately, and have noticed it happening on every flight when I select a STAR for arrival. The FMS will be tracking the course fine with the proper wind correction in place, then as soon as I select and activate the STAR, the LNAV heading immediately snaps to center on the current active way point and the aircraft begins drifting off course due to the wind.

I will try to get some screenshots of this occurring. In the meantime, if it helps at all, I am running FSX on a Vista machine, and have been using panels downloaded from ISG's site (thanks for those btw, Ernie. My tweaking skills are not at the point where I can work on panels, unfortunately).
