Thanks, Ernie. I have no enroute charts for the southern hemisphere, so I don't know if MON-YLO-DVR are NDBs (intersections and reporting points should be five characters, right?), but they do not appear in the navaid file, whereas MON and DVR are the closest navaids, in the US and UK. YLO is not in there at all. Anyway, I manually entered the MON-YLO-DVR waypoints as lat/lon coordinates, and that was enough to get it to select the correct GUA and PY nav aids in New Guinea. Here's the route string, in case you're interested:

I get the correct flight plan waypoints, and this is good enough for me, given that I'm just passing through the region.
