Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Having just bitten the bullet and installed WideFS on a second machine everything is working just dandy except for the exporting of the flightplan to FS9 where it is trying to save it on the Client PC. All the other exports have gone to the correct locations on the Server PC and after fiddling around for the last couple of hours I am admitting defeat.

I should mention that the laptop came with all software installed and I only noticed when setting up the shares that the laptop has Owner as the home of Application Data whereas the PC has my name.

I have thought about renaming the Owner file so that both computers have common user name and then reset all the shares but thought I would ask first rather than possibly wreck the work done so far.

You mention having WideFS on a second PC, but this has no relevamce to FSBuild. It does not use FSUIPC/WideFS.

You don't list what sw you have on each PC, but I am guessing that you have FSB on a different PC to FS. There are many ways of running a multi PC setup - I use three when flying online. However I have FSB on the same PC as FS. My reasonong is that my FS pc is the most powerful, and I don't run FSB concurrently with FS. Once I have built my plans and exported for the relevant formats, I shut FSB down.

HGowever, if you do want to have FSB exporting FS plans to another PC, you need to change the FS2004_PLN setting. Check for details.
