I would like to export flight plans to my FeelThere Embraer 175. I see that there is an option that can be checked on the Export list for exporting to the FeelThere ERJ aircraft but there is no directory listed under options. So how do I export the plan directly to the ERJ CDU?

If you have set the main FS directory properly at the head of the export list, FSB knows where to put the files - all the FeelThere planes use the same directory for flight plans.

That is not working for me. I am still getting the error. The proper directory has always been set for FSX and the plan loads fine into FSX. Is it possible that the FeelThere aircraft is installed differently if the addon was purchased from JustFlight? Does anyone know?

Open the options folder in FSBuild - the first entry in the list is FS2004/FSX; if the path is correct the plan for the EMB175 will load into (your FS path)\feelThere\CustomDB as will plans for most all the other FeelThere aircraft. If you are running Win7, you will need to run FSB from the right click "run as administrator". Whether or not you can load it is something else - I've never gotten an FSB generated plan to load without an "Invalid waypoint" message. You'll have better luck loading the FS plan into your flight using the load function of the FS planner and then using the FMC option to load the active plan.

I think that we are getting there. I do not have a CustomDB folder under the FeelThere folder. I do not know whether this is because Just Flight has altered the install. I guess this is a question to ask the Just Flight people. In the interum I will try creating a CustomDB folder and see what happens.

No CustomDB? That's very odd - JF must have hosed the installer. What subdirectories do you have under the FeelThere subdirectory? There should be CustomDB, E170, Nd, and PerfDB... anyway, if adding CustomDB doesn't work for you, do bear in mind that the plane can use FSX flightplans that have been created by FSB and loaded into the sim via the FSX Flightplanner "load" function.

Adding the CustomDB directory solved the problem of exporting the flight plan but I also get the Invalid Waypoint message when I try to load the plan into the MCDU. The trouble with loading the plan from FS is that I lose the SIDs and STARs and was trying to avoid having to reload them. I don't know what is being checked to cause the Invalid Waypoint message since I can load the very same plan from FS with no problem. I guess for the moment I will have to stay with lloading from FS. Thanks for the help though.

You don't lose the SID's and STAR's - they are in the FS flightplan. If you were to open the plans generated in a text editor you would find the same number of waypoints; the only real difference is the 'type' encoding - FS uses letters and FeelThere uses numbers, but neither one encodes the name of the procedure and there is no data loss.
