I went through the steps to set the export folder as outlined in the tutorial. As I am using PFE to fly myplan so I set that as the folder from the Browse option. However when I click on my flight plan and go to Export To, PFE is not listed. Is there a step I need to take to add PFE as my program?
Thanks
Alan

There is no PFE export option or folder option that I'm aware of - where did you find it? As far as I recall, PFE reads and processes a standard FS plan to produce what amounts to an adventure file and uses that to govern its actions.

PFE accepts flight plans and then runs the ATC commands for you as you fly the route. I don't know why it doesn't show up as a location to export to (it's similar to FSCommander). Now it may well only accept FSX plans so I set the folder to E:FSX as show in this tutorial: The only problem is that it seems to stop short. Because if you follow the tutorial and define the location of FSX and then select your plan and hit EXPORT on the tool bar it show FS2004/FSX as a destination that you can put a check mark against but then what -- as there is no EXPORT NOW button? I have not idea if the flight plan was exported or, if it it did, where it went.
Very confusing. I hope that Ernie can set me straight on this.
Thanks
Alan

The checkmarks in the selection menu are sticky - likewise, under the options folder on the treeview you'll find export destinations to check... FSB does an export every time you build a flightplan or autogenerate one; as a consequence there is no need for an export button. FS9 and FSX plans end up in 'My Documents' under 'Flight Simulator Files' or 'Flight Simulator X Files'... The reason you set the path to FS is because many add-ons live in particular sub-directories of that path. PFE isn't one of them and not all add-ons are supported.

Export to FS2004/FSX
Import that file into PFE.

There's no direct export to PFE. It was never requested before.

Regards.
Ernie.

Please copy and paste the contents of your FSBuild2.cfg file - it's in the main FSBuild directory. That will let me see just what you have set up.

Add PMDG737NG to your startup section... If you are running Win7 or Vista you must turn UAC off, reboot, and run FSBuild from the right click menu "run as administrator" to get stuff into your FSX directory.

Firstly why do I need to add PMDG 737NG as I do not fly this aircraft. I use WIN7 and already had UAC turned off. I started FSBuild as Admin and clicked on the flight plan in the list (KMIA-KSAV) and hit BUILD. This is what I get (the only option checked in EXPORT TO list is FS2004/FSX).
Thanks

I do have FS_HOME set to E:\ProgramFiles(x86)\MicrosoftGames\FlightSimulatorX -- I followed your tutorial and restarted after saving the settings. This is the folder where FSX.EXE is located and I get the same error message. Does it matter where the FSBuild folder is located?
Thanks for your help

Forget the PMDG thing... Second, make sure there actually is a directory in your documents folder named ... Flight Simulator Files.
