Hello i have a question.

I have fsbuild and the pmdg plane. I make a flightplan in fsbuild and export it to pmdg. no problem yet. But when i start the flight plan, it is not complete. I think that the navdata of pmdg and fs build is different. My question is if there is a way to put the navdata from fsbuild (today downloaded the latest) in the navdata from pmdg?

Please help me with this.

Remy,

". But when i start the flight plan, it is not complete."

Could you give an example ?

Then I will test it.

If i fly from eham to eddf tan i get the flight plan. but when i fly this plan, it stops at the last waypoint and i can't select an other star cause the fmc tells me there are no other stars available. So if i make the complete flight plan including sids and stars, than the plane will fly to the last waypoint (MTR) but than it goes straight on and doesn't get to the runway.

Thnx

And i have anothyer question about fsbuild.

When i load a flightplan in the fmc of a pmdg plane, the first line in the fp is rwy xx and the last line is rw xx.

Is there a possibility to let it start and end with the airfield f.e. eddf? so that when i start i can still put in the sids and stars and the runway. this because atc not always uses what i used in th fp creation of fs build.

I don't know if anyone has the tutorial flight of the pmdg MD11. But that is what i mean. In this tutorial you enter the flightplan and than you have to manually insert the sids and stars. so that is what i want.

Thnx again.

Also,

I did just one quick test ....... I will look more closely in FMC.

What NavData / Airac cycle are you using?

eham to eddf

Basic FSBuild route
EHAM IVLUT UZ738 COL UZ738 MONAX ASKIK EDDF
Load into PMDG

Then add SID/STAR from FMC
Many STARs are available

Thnx.

I have the pmdg MD11.

But what am i doing wrong than cause when i start flying, it flies the sid completely and that is not a problem. But when i am at my destination it doesn't fly the star. and when i put an other star in it it says something like fp discontnuid after the waypoint from which i want to fly a star. And in the tutorial of the md11 this is not so.

hello.

I see you got the ged2w procedure, in my fmc this doesn't exist.

I don't know which airac/navdata i have for the pmdg. I'm pretty new to this working with the fmc. But which should i have to use with the latest fsbuild navdata update and where can i get these??

Also i was wondering if you got an answer to my question why the fp is discontinuid when i load a star?

thnx appreciate yor help!!!!

Remy,

Ok,

After the STAR you must also select the Arrival Runway and type of "approach" and approach transition ..........

Have you done this before?

"Also i was wondering if you got an answer to my question why the fp is discontinuity when i load a star?"
The PMDG manual (or their forum) can help on how to use FMC.

The pilot must "clear" all discontinuities from the FMC.

Hello.

Yes i selected an approach and a transition and a runway. I clicked on the selector next to MTR (the last waypoint) and selected approach D ils 25R and GED1W on the left slk than i clicked insert and choose for transition MTR. In my FMC i than see waypoint mtr than ---- F-PL-Discontinuity--- and than under there the star procedure. But it is an weird pattern to fly cause it sends you over the airport, to MTR, than it sends you round MTR and than eventually it keeps flying straight and doesn't follow the procedure anymore. Hope yoy can tell me what i am doing wrong and why i keep getting the ---f-pln-discontinuity--- on my screen.

Still i checked once again, but i don't have an GED2W procedure and only the GED1W procedure.

I really want to learn how to fly with the FMC and in the tutorial flight it al worked great, but with the plans build in fsbuild it doesn't work the way it was in the tutorial. Maybe you could have a look at the tutorial i mean on page 8/9 (there you see what i mean and what i want, EGLL is first in the fp and not a runway) and on page 26. as you see there is no line (saying F-PL-DISCONTINUITY)coming after everything is put in the fmc. I can't figure out why i keep getting this problem. The manual is found here: http://downloads.precisionmanuals.com/f ... _v1.10.pdf

THNX very very much for your help i realy appreciate it.

Remy,

You may want to update your Navdata.
I gave you a link to the Navdata site in the PMDG MD11 forum.
Also, that forum will answer your FMC questions.
