Hallo Ernie,

is it possible that you bring us an update for FSBuild that includes a format support for the new IFly737NG? Unfortunately they use a totally different format. I thought we could use flightplans from PMDG.

Many thanks and

kind regards,

Axel

Have you tried the exporting to the iFLY 747 format.

They may be using the same format for their 737.

Regards.
Ernie.

I'll try and post an update soon that adds the iFLY 737 to the menu, so you don't have to manually copy it over after exporting.

Regards.
Ernie.

Ernie,

Here is a FSBuild (2.3.7.6.2 Build 239) plan in iFly 747 format:

KHOU,
KHRL,
,
34000,
,
,
,
,
,
,
-1,
,
,
,
,
0,
DIRECT,3,YAWNS,YAWNS, 28.823200-095.565900,0,0,194.00000,0,0,0,-1,0.000,0,-1,-1000,-1,000,0,0,0,000.00000,0,0,,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1000,0,
DIRECT,3,NGP,NGP, 27.686200-097.294800,0,0,229.00000,0,0,0,-1,0.000,0,-1,-1000,-1,000,0,0,0,000.00000,0,0,,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1,-1,17,0,-1000,-1000,0,

Note the highlighted double fixes. The iFly 737 FMS does not double those fixes.

Users at the iFly support forum report CTD's when loading a FSBuild iFly 747 flight plan in the iFly 737 FMS. Perhaps the double fix can cause a CTD. Could you make an adjustment to the FSBuild iFly output to eliminate the double fixes?

Thanks,

Jim Harnes

I dunno.

According to iFLY the 737 uses the same format as the 747 did.

But it would help if someone could send me a few examples from thye 737 for comparision.

Also what folder are the 737 filesw placed in ?

Thanks.

Regards.
Ernie.

The iFly 737 flight plans are in Flight Simulator\iFly\737NG\navdata\FLTPLAN.

Here is the KHOU-KHRL plan as produced by the iFly 737NG FMS:

KHOU,
KHRL,
,
34000,
NGP2,
,
,
,
,
,
-1,
,
,
,
,
-1,
NGP2,0,NGP,1, 27.686278-097.294749,0,0,217.10833,0,0,1,283,0.000,0,34000,0,10745,1236,-1,0,0,000.00000,0,0,,-1000,-1,-1,-1000,0,-1000,-1,-1,-1000,0,-1000,-1,-1,-1000,0,-1000,-1,-1,-1000,0,-1000,-1000,0,

There is no double fix. Also, the navdata does not contain the YAWNS waypoint for that SID.

I can provide more examples and a pdf outlining the structure if you want.

I am having problems using fsbuild to compile flights with ifly 737s. I get the flight to load but no vnav info, no magenta route in th nd, not sure if anyone here knows what i'm doing. It looks like some of you can use fsbuild created flightplans or are you manually entering each waypoint.

thank you

anthony

From the iFly documentation:

Line #17.4:
Name of navigation point shown on CDU. The insertion allows string combination such as “A”~“Z”, “0”~“9” ,“/”, “.”. For example, “DSH153/11.7” must input as “DSH01”.

Ernie,

As I understand it, line 17.4 is the name of the fix, but I do not yet know how the strings are generated - unless, in this case, the "1" represents the first fix.

I need to do more research with this. I've found some iFly-produced flight plans with the double navaid name in positions 3 & 4 of line 17 rather than "1" in position 4. Back when I have more definitive info.

Thanks,
Jim Harnes

iFly support states the developers are looking at the issue. Don't have any timeframe for more info.

Thanks,
