Hi,

An autogenerated route from EGPH (runway 24) to EGLL (runway 27R) seems to be indicating a problem in the programs planning logic. At first I thought this may be just the wrong waypoint in the SID as seen before, but I don't think it is this time.

The route generated is EGPH DCS4C DCS N615 LOVEL NUGRA.BNN1B EGLL

DCS4C consists of UW, D265E, D265J, MAVIX, TRN30 and DCS.

D265E should select this from INT's:

D265E UW265005 N55:53:25 W03:39:05 INT

but instead it selects

D265E BKY265005 N51:58:46 W00:04:18 INT

which is very close to the destination airport!

So the plan takes you to the destination, back to the departure airport and then back to the destination. See below:

Unless, I need to turn some options on, this looks like a bug to me as the data in the INT and SID files appears correct.

I have reindexed the nav data. I'm running version 2.3.7.5 build 236.

Best wishes
Steve

I Unselected SR (button).
Then inputted this route ... EGPH (runway 24) to EGLL (runway 27R) ...
Then selected autogen.

The results "looks" correct, 330nm and map view looked ok also:

EGPH DCS4C DCS WTN NUGRA.BNN1B EGLL

Thanks. I have just uninstalled and reinstalled and its still doing it.

1) Start FSB
2) Departure, type EGPH
3) Tab to runway and change 09 to 24. Sid changes automatcially to DCS4C
4) Click into Destination airport and type EGLL. Runways changes to 27R and BIG1E automatcially selected.
5) Click SR to unselect it
6) Click auto generate

Best wishes
Steve

Steve,

Looks right.
What result did you get. What showed up in the flight plan box?

It shows exactly as my first post. On the map I have a line from EGPH down close to EGLL and then back up to EGPH and then the route is drawn as it should be.

Thanks
Steve

Steve,

Do a screenshot of FSBuild after the route and map are completed, using your 6 steps, and post it here so I can compare to my results.

Steve:

If you have changed any of the FSB files it could be faster to a fresh install of FSB.

1. What is your Operating System?

Your first post mentioned this route:
The route generated is EGPH DCS4C DCS N615 LOVEL NUGRA.BNN1B EGLL
Which has N615 in it.

Your screenshot has UN615 in it?

Your route shows NDB UW at the correct lat/lon .. same as mine.
And there is only one UW in the database as far as I seen.

2. So, we need to identify where/what waypoint that is that is 265nm from EGPH.
It cannot be UW!
Clicking on any waypoint will highlight it on the map to identify it.

3. Also I do not think UN615 should be in the route at all?

4. Anyway, for now, as a quick test.
Start FSB again.
Click on SR to unselect it.
Copy the following route into the flight plan box and click on Build.

EGPH DCS4C DCS WTN NUGRA.BNN1B EGLL

Select departing runway 24

Click the BUILD button

Did it build properly?

Hi,

I followed your instructions and the route did the same thing (routed close to EGLL and then back again). Not sure about UN615, I hadn't noticed that or got that far

I'm running Win XP Pro 64 fully updated.

In the fsb_int.txt file the following appears for D265E:

D265E BKY265005 N51:58:46 W00:04:18 INT
D265E CUV265005 S02:49:53 W79:00:00 INT
D265E D265E N33:36:06 E73:01:36 INT
D265E D265E N40:08:47 E44:15:28 INT
D265E D265E N52:16:00 E06:45:22 INT
D265E D265E S02:50:16 W78:59:55 INT
D265E LNZ265005 N48:13:31 E13:58:43 INT
D265E OSN265005 N52:11:39 E08:09:50 INT
D265E RN265005 N33:36:07 E73:01:37 INT
D265E RO265005 N55:00:32 E82:24:59 INT
D265E UW265005 N55:53:25 W03:39:05 INT
D265E ZVR265005 N40:08:47 E44:15:28 INT

The item in RED is what is being picked up, instead of it selecting the item in BLUE.

I have tried with various AIRAC updates and they all do the same. Whether this is something odd with XP64 or some MS update I'm not sure.

Thanks
Steve

Just found this in the FAQ:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=699

Following the steps, does fix it, but I don't know why this doesn't happen to you. It seems so cumbersome. Oh well, its a solution of sorts.

Thanks
Steve

Steve,
I did not follow the "link" you posted so I do not know what you did.
But, after your last post I knew why you had this didtant waypoint!

Open your FSBuild2.cfg file in Notepad (text editor).
Under [FSBUILD] section.
Add this line:
NAVCHKDUPDIST=100
Save the text file.
Test again.

Thats done it. Many thanks :D

Not sure why UN615 is being auto selected in my route and not yours. I guess there must be some other settings required in the config file. I suspose I should RTFM.

Thanks for your time and efforts.

Best wishes
Steve

Steve,

Are you now back to AutoGening the route?
Do a screenshot of the route you get so I can take another look.
