I have just purchased FSBuild2, my first planner.
I chose FSBuild2 mainly because it appears to be well supported and also generally well received within the community.
However, I may have made a big mistake.
I only have FSX and at the moment I am getting to grips with my recently purchased FSX specific variant PMDG MD11.
Now I want to expand a little on the flight plans I have used with FSX so that I can break away from “simple” flight plans and start to make full use of the numerous navigational features of the PMDG MD-11.
However, it would appear FSBuild2 does not support the importation of either FSX or PMDG plight plans.
Now, this is perhaps my mistake I will admit that.
But to be honest, for a product that has been in the market for so long I find it amazing that it does not support FSX in this fundamental way.
PMDG may be but FSX, come on.
I am troubled yet further when I read some of the posts whereby it appears there is no intention of “fixing” FSBuild2 to cater with importing FSX or PMDG and instead it will only form a feature of the next generation FSBuild product.
So, come on people what’s the fix.
This is a major problem for me as I have most (if not all) of the flight plans I like to use already in the FSX format, all be it they are limited by the MSFS built in flight planning application and hence the reason why I purchased FSBuild2 in the first place.
How do I work round this problem (however laborious) so that I can make full use of this wonderful FSBuild2 product that so many people believe is THE planner to have.
