In your FSbuild2.cfg file:


Check this section:

[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]

Your FS_HOME setting should be your root FS9 folder

FS_HOME=D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9

This is mine for my C drive:
FS_HOME=C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT GAMES\FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9

Verify using windows explorer where FS9.exe file is located.

FSbuild is not finding it on your D drive for some reason?

Cracked it!!

It appears that for some reason the FSbuild2.cfg file was not getting updated. As you suggested, I initlally checked it to make sure that the CFG file had the correct root location for FS9. It was incorrect, as was the 'Export To..' details.

I re-ran FSB, set all the correct directories in 'Options' plus the correct 'Export to..' location, then exited FSB before trying to do another build. I then checked the CFG file which had then been updated correctly, so I re-ran FSB again and the re-built the flight which worked OK, both to the FS9 and PMDG locations. It appears that you need to exit using 'file>exit' to update the CFG file.

It almost appears that you need to run FSB with a correctly configured CFG file. And that updates to the file that you make during a run do not count!

Yes,

Click on:
Options
Settings
Save Configuration Options
Then exit FSbuild (this saves all changes) to cfg file
Next time you start FSbuild you ar good to go!

But originally, you should have been able to build and export a plan without an error to e.g. MSFS9!
