Von,
Yes, that button works. If I already have a sid on the map and am trying to find the best star for a specific runway I only want to remove the last star that i clicked. I still don't get how you scroll thru the selections.

Also, I still need an answer on the FS2004 question.
Thanks for replying
Ken

Ken,
Scroll:
While in PM mode you will see a box in the lower right corner of the sceern (STAR box).
Or, upper right corner for SID.
Use the scroll up and down arrows to the right of the box to scroll thru the list.

example:
To see a star on the map from the list box. Click on it.
If you do not want it.
clear map display (button).
Then select another one.
That should keep only one on the map at a time.

Note: I do not think it selectively erases only the last one (of many).

2004 question:
Got to fsbuild.com
lower left corner select "tutorial page"
then select item #1

Von,
I have PFE and FS2000 installed for FSX. One of these creates a sub directory under my main fsx flightplan file called pilots. This is where FSBuild is storing my 2004 flight plans. I have followed the tutorial for changing to the main FSX flight plan folder. Yes, I saved from the configure page and restarted FSBuild. The directory structure next to the Brouse button reads the proper folder but the plans still end up in the sub folder pilots.
How do I fix it?
Thanks Ken

Ken,

What does this mean:
FS2000 installed for FSX?

FSBuild cannot find your FS9 or FSX exe file.
I think MSFS2000 used the "pilots" folder.

Are you wanting to use FSBuild for only FS9?
Are you wanting to use FSBuild for only FSX?
Or, are you wanting to use FSBuild for only FS9 and FSX?

Von.
Sorry, meant to say ProFlight2000 not FS2000. Either Proflight Emulator or ProFlight2000 created that pilot folder. I am only using FSX, but need the 2004 files for the above programs because they can't use the xml plans.

All I am trying to do is export 2004 format plans to my main flightsim plan file instead of that pilots folder.

I can create a plan in FSBuild and as soon as I export it ends up in that pilot folder. Somehow FSBuild seems to be locked on that folder even thou the export path does not include the pilot sub directory. This happens before the plan is used in either of the above PFE programs.
Thanks Ken

Ken,
Wrong folder.
It should be the folder where FSx.exe is located.

****
And in your :

fsbuild2.cfg file.

In this section:

[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]

FS2004_PLN=D:\Ken\Documents\Fight Simulator X Files

add the previous line and save it.
See if it works or not.
****
This was taken from the bottom (scroll down) of the flight plan tutor page.

Von,
Yes, that did the trick. My bad for not reading far enough. What confused me was that the options page did not show the pilots subfolder. To many levels I guess.
Thanks for your fast and courteous response. You could have said read further in the tutorial.
Thanks Ken

Von,
Another problem trying to export Level-D flight plans.
My fsx plans are still set to the D: subdirectory as you instructed above.
My FSX instalation is on a separate drive as recomended by Nick N.
I am getting an error on the export of the rte plan files for Level-d I assume because FSBuild is looking for the FSX.exe file on drive D.
I still need to use the 2004 plan files in directory D for PFE.
Any way to add a line to the FSBUILD.cfg to put these rte files in correct location on the FSX drive.
Thanks Ken

OK, I got this to work sortof.
I changed the 2004 plan directory in the fsbuild.cfg file to G:\FSX
and changed the browse directory in the interface to the same. Now both are exporting but I don't like the 2004 plans ending up in my main FSX directory. Seems it would have been easier to let users enter there own directory paths for each addon.
Is there anyway to get the flight plans in a seperate folder and still have the rte files in the right leveld directory when you have FSX on a seperate drive.
Thanks Ken
