Two last thoughts from me, otherwise I have no idea.
1) Try adding the path to your fltplan files directory in the config file (In the [MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR] section).
For instance mine reads FSX_PLN=C:\Users\Steve\Documents\FSX Files
2) Is your computer using English, or another language? That has been known to cause issues.

Added this line to fsbuild.cfg, without success. I'm still getting the exact 2 same error messages. Regarding language, because of PF3, I have it set up to English (UK). Changing into English (US) does not work, I still can't load FSBuild. Please, what the h*** is going on that I can't use my software I purchased over a month ago???????

Hi,

There is no "support team". FSBuild is a one-man band and that man is busy working on (at least) the QW 787. It may be that when and if he gets done with that project he will have more time for FSBuild which he has declared a finished project for some years now. I try to give support where I can because I like the product, but I have never seen your problem and never experienced it on numerous systems and operating systems since the freeware versions were released many years ago. It is very unlikely that Simmarket will refund your money since you gave up that right to download the product. Given the message that you get, I suggest downloading the VC++ MFC redistributable packages and installing them on your computer. They can be found on this page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -downloads. Start with the VC++ 2008 package and work your way up.

Well, I had to take the nuke option: reformat. Actually, I did so because of lots of things that I didn't like how they behaved with Win10 (version 1709, a.k.a. Fall Creators Update). I don't know why, but all these things were fixed. This issue too. It reminds me of another case reported here in the forum, where the solution was another magical one: after a Windows update, it disappeared.

I guess this case can be closed, although I'll never know what happened. The only thing I changed was the source of the Windows installer: I decided not to use the Media Creation tool for 1709, but download an ISO for 1607 (as recommended by my laptop manufacturer) and then let it update. At least now I have FSBuild working :D :D :D
